In my humble opinion, she is not only the world's cutest baby, but she also doubles as a great NorthernKnitHat model! To school or to the park, what better accessory than Aunt D's handy work!

When I was little I couldn't say the word "watermelon". That isn't what inspired this hat, but it is an interesting artist trivia fact.
This style of hat came to be after watching Miss Avery pretend to do homework one day. She could not actually write yet, but man, did she look good in pink :)

During college, Katers spent one COLD winter in Ireland!! Although we missed her very much, it was a great opportunity of growth and adventure for her. She had one bag for an entire semester abroad, and I was so excited that she found the room for one of my hats! In this picture, both she and the hat have made it all the way to Bluffs!!
How many stories are there in threaded yarn, I wonder?

Bird Hat

While living in Georgia, I was contacted by a woman to recreate a hat from her nephew's childhood. It was to date, the most challenging project I had embarked on. After hours and hours of hard work, it was at last completed! Only to be then eaten by our pet Boxer, Lucy. But, after many tears, I rebooted my system and went at it again. It was well worth the effort when I finished, proving that anything can be recreated!
